Today my interviewee is Miss Hannah Banks.
Hey Hannah! Thanks for being with us today.
It's my pleasure! :)
It's my pleasure! :)
Okay, let's get going:
How did you get started into photography? And how old were you?
I first got interested when I was about nine years old. I was always captivated by how much a photograph could speak to a person. I officially got started at 13. yes, that was many many years ago. ;)

What was your very first camera?
My first camera?? It was a Samsung SL105. It was good for starters.. but I can't say I was really great friends with it!

Who or what inspired you to take up this hobby?
My Mother. When I first started showing interest in photography, she made me stick to it. She encouraged me on, and supported me. It meant the world to me. And I am so grateful to her for that!!

What kind of equipment are you using right now?( camera, flashes, lens, etc.)
Most people find it odd that I use a simple digital camera.. they are always saying "wow! you should get something a bit more expensive!" but after living in a family of 13 all my life...I've kind of learn to do the best with what you have. :)I use a Nikon S6100 Digital Touch Screen Coolpix Digital Camera. 16 MP, 7X zoom. Note: I am completely satisfied.

Are you self-taught, or have you had classes?
I am self taught for the most part. I do check out other peoples work... Google questions.. and hunt for tips. OBSERVATION is the most efficient way of learning with me.

What is your favorite subject to shoot? (landscapes, profiles, artistic shots, candid moments, etc)
I love artistic shots!!!!!!!!! *emphasis on love* I'm always looking for ways to make my shots artistic. Definitely artistic shots! But, I do have a huge soft spot for candid moments... there isn't anything sweeter then a child's first birthday, or a girls prom night... you get the picture. :)

Do you have any professional experience?
Yes! I have many professional photographers among my dear friends.. and I am often selected to give a extra hand during events. It definitely helps to help, if you get my drift. ;)

What is your method for getting new tips, techniques, or new information?
Haha, I answered that one earlier...but here it is again. my method is observing. :)Whether it's other photographers work, or just the world around you, observing is one of the best techniques. :)

Do you, or have you sold your work?
No, sadly. I've always wanted to.. but it's not that easy. let's just say marketing isn't my specialty.

I'm ready. :)
Why do you love photography, and what is your purpose for doing it? :)
Why? a very hard question.. and a easy one at the same time.. I just don't want to give a wrong answer.. let's see...
Why?
I've always imagined that one day when I am old and gray.. I could
look happily back on the moments I've shared and captured with loved
ones. I like good memories.. and best of all I take joy in creating them
and capturing them for other people. Why do I do it? It makes me feel good, it makes others feel good!! it's my calling. :)
(Blogger At Serenity For The Photographer's Soul.)
I
am a young teenager. I love the Lord.. and I love photography!! He's
helped me achieve my dream.. and I want to use it for His utmost glory!
What interests me aside from photography….?
I love to sing! Singing has always been one of my 2nd favorite past times. I’ve always wanted to sing professionally. but who knows how that will go.
I play a few instruments. Guitar and piano are my main instruments.. but I can dabble at almost anything.. I was born with musical talent. It’s just in my blood.. I guess. :)
I love to read, I love to read, I love to read!! Haha, you can never give me a book too long. Never! I also like to ride horseback, go shopping, keep house, hang out with my friends…things like that.
One thing you have absolutely have to know about me is….. I am very sociable. I love my friends, I am very talkative, and love interacting with others. But I am also very sober and quiet at times, and I observe people’s actions and conduct often. So if you catch me randomly staring at you…;)

I
was originally a pampered city brat till moving out to the country
approximately 3 years ago...believe me.. the change has brought a lot of
good! :) Well,
it was supposed to be a short bio.. I'm afraid I've extended it quite a
bit.
So, I'll just close with a Goodbye, and God Bless You! :)
