Country Come to Town

I am driving for an hour on the highway to get to a city [a big city] that I've never driven in before.

Yeah.

Me.

The little Rachel over here in the corner whimpering. It is all part of the Plot To Get Rachel A License. It is terrifying and disgruntling to me, this idea of being on the road with thousands of other cars who do not wish to do their driving behind a country-girl who is gripping the steering-wheel with both hands and praying for safety with every breath.

I don't do Big City Driving!

 I don't have a speedometer!

I don't know the roads well!

I'm not used to Virginians who drive like New Yorkers!

*GAH!*

In addition, this City bears resemblance to a certain town in English literature:

"You must gird up your loins--it is all go in Cranford." :P

Oh those good old days of horses and carriages and your own two feet.

  1. Haha I think the only people who are crazy enough to drive in NYC are taxi drivers. I think most of the population prefer the metro. ( like how much safer is that with bomb threats right)?
