Well whaddya know? 126 years ago some governess accidentally gave Beatrix Potter the summary of my educational experiences!
English: Beatrix has a lively imagination and a fondness for stories. Unfortunately, she has little interest in the rules of grammar, although she can spell well enough
Arithmetic: Beatrix shows little aptitude or interest here. I feel we have done all we can.
Geography: Beatrix has an adequate understanding of the subject (and she has produced some splendid map illustrations)
Natural sciences: Beatrix shows real aptitude here, and her love of the natural world is unsurpassed
