Hey guys! Wow! It seems like a long time since I've posted. (I being the Rachel-who-even-her-own-cousin-has-a-hard-time-spelling ;) Any-hoo! Today was choir practice. We had a loverly time as usual, and almost perfected "Hallelujah, Praise The Lamb" which is beautiful with three part harmony. I get the "angel" sounding part! :) Actually, I am tenor for the first chorus, silent in the verse, then second soprano for the next chorus and the bridge. Very exhausting to remember! But it sounded great. Oh! Sarah and I got a set of real wood bedroom furniture! Yesterday we sanded and oil primed it all. I don't really know what "style" it is, only that it is wavy and feminine, and old-fashioned. We are painting it cream colored like French Provencial sort of. Anyway, we'll do a post with pictures of it and everything when we are done. Let me do something fun: Here are three questions that each of you must answer as honestly as you can:
What is a nickname you hate but that your family calls you? I don't have many nick-names
What is the worst birthday or Christmas present you've ever had? I remember being really bashful because two people had given me the same present when I turned 5 of 6.
Are you a picky eater? If so, are you expecting your spouse someday to cope with that? ;)
I am only a picky breakfast eater, and since I'll be cooking I can eat whatever of the breakfast of the day I want and leave the rest to my husband! :)
Well, sorry this is short, but I'm on a new computer-time budget that we are trying out due to the black-hole blogging can be! ;)
Oh!!! The biggest news! I am completely and utterly done editing my book, so next I'll send it to test families to read and fill out a constructive-criticism sheet, and then off to the publisher or printer! (We aren't positive which yet!) So quite a triumph for an aspiring authoress! :)

1. Mama calls all of us "baby" or "babe" all the time. I am far from fond of it. :)
ReplyDelete2. Hmm, probably the hairbrush I was given during the stage of my life in which I hated having my hair brushed or combed. It was super curley, and I was always running around and getting it even messier than it naturally was, so the brushing process was a very painful one.
3. I am not a picky eater, and hope to goodness that my husband is not a picky eater! :) It seems so ungrateful to only want certain kinds of food.

That is very exciting about your book!!
Rach! Which book are you doing? Be sure to include me in that list!
ReplyDeleteHere's my answers:
#1. My family doesn't really have a nickname for me; but other people call me "Matt" which really irritates me!
#2. I don't think I recall a present that I didn't like;} I did receive the same present once for my birthday though!
#3. Yeh, I would have to say I am a little bit of a picky eater:) If you gave me something that I didn't really like, I would at least eat a little of it. Am I expecting my spouse to cope with that? I really don't know. I think it would be ungrateful if I didn't eat since she would be the one who most likely will have cooked it.
Congrats. on the book.
1. I had a nickname that I hated when I was little, but no one calls me that anymore. My name doesn't adjust well to nicknames. :)
ReplyDelete2. A chocolate candy bar that I was really excited about but turned out to be really nasty.
3. Nope! I like almost all foods but those few I dislike, I /really/ dislike so, yes, my husband will have to cope with it. :) It does seem rude to be a picky eater (I used to be one and am SO glad I changed).
Congratulations about your book!!! I hope everything goes great!
I look forward to seeing the pictures of your bedroom set.
1. Annabell...
ReplyDelete2. cheap lip gloss..shivers!
3. I am not a picky eater, I hope my husband is not either!;)
Yesterday, I was going through some modern designs on Bedroom Furniture.and I found amazing collection.
ReplyDeleteWe'll if I must answer the questions, here they are.
ReplyDelete#1. I cannot recall many nicknames. Sometimes people would jokingly call me Graham Cracker, but I didn't mind.
#2. For Christmas one tear my Gradparents got us all these "Bug Vacuums". They were these liitle vacuums that you would suck the bugs up with to look at. I was a little too old for it, but my grandma think's we all need the same thing (she got us all one). I try to be thankful for all my gifts.
#3. I am not a picky eater. There are a few things that I will not eat or try, but most everything I do like. If I do not like it I try to eat what I was served or served myself. I suppose my future spouse will appreciate this.
Well there you are.
Congrats. on the book. Good luck on publishing it!
ooops I noticed I spelled year T-E-A-R. I guess I was sad :P. I never seem to notice this till after I publish the comment. I wish you could edit comments:). Oh well.
ReplyDeleteyay! Congrats on your book Rachel. I don't think I want to answer your questions though, I believe that I would be way too embarrassed to answer any of them, especially after the way other people answered them! :-D hee hee
